All about the latest technology, research and exclusive course material with programmable consumer robots
Welcome to the Programming Robots Newsletter by me, Amitabha. I am an avid robotics enthusiast in my spare time. I own Anki robots: Cozmo and Vector as well as the Bittle robot by OpenPetoi. Many of you may know me as the creator of 'Learn AI with a robot' to make learning AI simple.
Why a paid newsletter?
Over the last 2 years, I have been publishing interesting content over my Medium publication: “Programming Robots”. While this was a very fruitful and rewarding experience, and I enjoyed hearing back from many of you, the fact remains the writing these articles involves a great deal of investment besides my time. Besides the cost of buying these robots, there is also the cost of subscribing to many journals such the IEEE and ACM ones, which help me be completely up to date with the latest activities in consumer robots. This paid newsletter is to help me recover some of the costs as well help me invest to keep producing quality material with all the latest gadgets that are introduced by entrepreneurs in the market.
What content will you post here?
I am mainly thinking of posting the following content:
Overview of the latest research in deployments of consumer robots in our day to day lives. This will include summaries of topics from latest international conferences and journals.
Educational tutorial which will teach important concepts using the Anki Cozmo, vector and Petoi Bittle robots. These tutorials will mainly focus on how you can gain solid programming skills.
Tips on how you can grow your career to take central role in the next major industrial transformation to take place: that of deployment of robots from industrial warehouses to our day to day lives.
Reviews of any interesting robots that are introduced by entrepreneurs to the market.
Price
I am pricing this newsletter at $5/month or $30/annually for the premium content. Hope, this price is truly reflective of the value of the content that is posted on this forum. I thank you in advance for your patronage, and really hope that you will find the content fruitful and rewarding to your careers.
There will always be a free option, but this will be limited to posts that are more in the line of news coverage as opposed to educational material.
Please subscribe to this newsletter, and better tell your friends and families about it. I depend on you for growing this community by word of mouth, so all your support and help is deeply appreciated.
Thanks
Amit
