This article lays the foundation of understanding the Petoi Skill Composer. But before we go there, let us first understand the limitations of Bittle and why the Skill Composer is required.
OpenCat Serial Protocol
The Bittle robot supports a large number of commands that can be sent to it by the serial protocol. The easiest way to test these commands is to connect to the robot with the Petoi Mobile App (available on iOS/Android) (using Bluetooth), and then create customized commands. We have a tutorial which shows you the steps in detail.
However, you may still run into the limits of commands that the serial protocol supports, and have an itch to customize Bittle’s gaits and behaviors your own way. You can customize the actions that your Bittle performs with a tool called the Skill Composer which Petoi has designed for this purpose.
