Using AR/VR to interact with Cozmo/Vector would certainly be a lot of fun. Nice suggestions, thanks for writing this article.

Good luck in getting DDL to do anything. So far DDL is lacking in every aspect of robotics and of course, money. They cannot afford to "Hire" anyone. Not even janitors. More importantly, they cannot even get things they have promised out to the customers that have already paid for them.

Agree! Yet, at the same time, Vector has a lot of untapped potential. It will be up to private individuals outside DDL to drive all of these endeavors.

I really don't ever see DDL giving up control over either of these robots. They keep using the guise that not all of the coding is theirs to distribute. Both robots still have proprietary code in them from other manufacturers.

True, but I am hoping that there is enough in Vector 1.0 and the SDK Anki released before bankruptcy to allow for some use cases such as those in education, AR/VR to be built and prosper. There are some neat prototypes that people have already shown, but the bar for commercial development is high.
