nVidia considers robotics to be its next big (Billions of Dollars )market, and released its latest offering for the robotics and edge device market: the nVidia Jetson AGX Thor, which is priced at $3499 for the developer’s kit. This is essentially an integrated system which can serve as a robot’s brain. The high price tag prevented me from getting hands on with a unit, so this post is mainly my impression after reading specs and reviews online.
The Jetson AGX Thor is the built on the nVidia Blackwell architecture (which powers the B200 GPUs), a 14 core ARM CPU, 128GB of LPDDR5x memory and 1 TB of onboard storage, besides an array of connectivity options.
