Physical Intelligence is the high profile robotics software and model company started by an illustrious team which includes Stanford Professor Chelsea Finn and Berkeley Professor Sergey Levine and some of their students. Just like SkildAI, Physical Intelligence aims to build a general purpose foundation model for robots… essentially a machine learning model that can be employed by any robot to complete any task. After 8 months of work (the company received its first funding round in March 2024), Physical Intelligence released its first prototype of a general purpose foundation model for robots… called 𝝅0.
