Try Vector Robot with gpt-4.5-preview

This will be a short post updating you all about gpt-4.5-preview.

OpenAI announced gpt-4.5-preview today morning. Here is the tweet for reference. OpenAI suggests that this model is great for chat, and has a great emotional quotient (EQ). But, it might not be able to give comprehensive in-depth answers like a reasoning model. In other words, it would be great for short conversations, but not for benchmarks.

That makes it a great candidate for Vector. Luckily, with Vector Wirepod, we can easily try it out. However, Wirepod’s UI does not allow you to populate a custom model for OpenAI, and so you would need a code change for Wirepod. The following branch does exactly that.

So to try out gpt-4.5-preview, you would need to pull from the above branch. Then you need to configure the OpenAI key in the Knowledge Graph Setup the usual way. Once you do that, you can easily interact with gpt-4.5-preview. Be mindful of the costs though, as discussed in the following section. But first, lets enjoy the video.
