There has been a lot of progress in Generative AI in 2024, and the Vector robot is becoming one of the easiest way to check the progress in Generative AI, many thanks to all the integrations that Wirepod has facilitated with these models. In our previous article, we wrote about how Vector can be integrated with GPT-4o, and asked Vector to describe what he is seeing. In this article, we discuss a new feature in Wirepod on how it can be integrated with OpenAI Voice.

Lending Vector a Voice

We discussed in a previous article that Vector lacks support to speak in non-English languages. Now thanks to OpenAI Voice APIs, Vector can get a non-English voice too. OpenAI Voice supports a Text To Speech (TTS) service, where the user provides input text, and OpenAI returns speech. The user can choose one six voices (out of alloy, echo, fable, onyx, nova, and shimmer). He can choose one of the 40 languages that are supported.
